Singapore Culinary Embassy in a Container “SPICE” is the evocative name of a project organised by the Singapore Tourism Board to promote the varied and outstandingly creative cuisine of the city-state. The Singapore International Culinary Exchange consists of a mobile “pop-up” kitchen equipped to regale visitors in nine cities worldwide with mouth-watering treats from Singapore. Ten prominent chefs are supplying the recipes used by the culinary embassy as it invites locals for a taste in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Moscow, London, Paris, New York, Sydney, Delhi and Dubai. In each city, one chef will be on site in the container-kitchen, which is named “Singapore Takeout”. This chef will create a menu in collaboration with a colleague from the host city. Gaggenau was represented by one of its own culinary ambassadors, Ryan Clift, the chef of the Tippling Club in Singapore, who oversaw the Moscow appearance of the popup kitchen. www.yoursingapore.com/spice Sanya Gaggenau at Hainan Rendez-Vous An annual festival of luxury in Asia: under the inviting name “Hainan Rendez- Vous”, renowned lifestyle brands from around the world introduce themselves in the southern Chinese city of Sanya on the island of Hainan. During the rendezvous this spring, Gaggenau teamed up with Azimut Yachts, the leading maker of luxurious private yachts, and extended invitations to a “Seafarer’s Fabulous Feast”. Guests enjoyed the culinary creations of Ritz-Carlton chef Stefan Leitner at a candlelight dinner. The new collaboration with Azimut Yachts is a “maritime” departure for Gaggenau in a literal sense. Henceforth the Italian yacht maker will present itself in conjunction with exclusive culinary events organised by Gaggenau. www.hainanrendezvous.com www.azimutyachts.com 59 PHOTOGRAPHY: FUMASONI, REINHARD EISELE/EISELE-PHOTOS, SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL CULINARY EXCHANGE (2), TONI (FROM LEFT TO RIGHT)
