In 2011 the Gaggenau magazine
new spaces won the gold award for the
third time in the Best of Corporate
Publishing (BCP) competition, the largest
German contest of its kind. That’s
a good reason to celebrate! The award
also means that new spaces will enter
the Hall of Fame in 2012. This distinction
is reserved for participants who have
won gold three times since 2003, the
year of the fi rst BCP competition.

Italy
Poetry Meets
Visual Idiom
Verse meets visual art: “Collezione
7 x 11. La poesia degli artisti” is the title
of an unusual Italian art-book and its exhibition
currently taking to the road with
works from 77 artists. The participants
turned to their favourite poems or poets
for inspiration and thereby supplied the
paintings, photographs and mixed-media
artworks — all sized 7 x 11 centimetre.
The numbers seven and eleven stand for
the two most common metres of Italian
poetry, settenario and endecasillabo,
which have been used since the
Renaissance. Gaggenau supported the
ambitious artistic project together with
the Italian furniture and kitchen manufacturer
Valcucine. Curated by Marco Fazzini,
the exhibition will initially be shown at
galleries in various Italian cities before
moving abroad. The exhibition catalogue
was published by AMOS Verlag and is
available, among other places, at the Eco
Bookshop of the Valcucine fl agship store
at Corso Garibaldi 99 in Milan.

Gaggenau Experts
Forum
“The Magic of Granada. The Magic of
Gaggenau” was the theme of the
traditional annual Gaggenau Experts
Forum in Spain. This year the gathering
of successful sales partners was held in
the prominent setting of a World Heritage
site: the palace of Charles V at the
Alhambra in Granada. Amidst these
impressive surroundings so rich in history,
visitors learned more about the
strategies and prospects for the Spanish
market, which is currently facing the
repercussions of the fi nancial crisis. In
addition to presentations on current
design trends for premium-class household
appliances, visitors listened to an
address by the author and economics
expert Leopoldo Abadía, who caused a
sensation with the economic analysis
put forth in his book La Crisis Ninja. On
show during the event — and the object
of much admiration — was the full-surface
induction cooktop CX 480.
