The Joy of Summer Travel Magazine 2012

The southern light, the enchanting scenery and the influences of three cultures have always inspired artists in Carinthia. In Carinthia’s art museums you can follow the trail of modern and contemporary artists such as Rainer, Hoke, Oman, Bischoffshausen, Schellander, Staudacher or Kogelnik. His work, whose roots lie in German Expressionism, is also a unique document about his chosen home, Southern Carinthia. Work in regions far remote from art centres is the theme linking the museums in the joint exhibition project in 2012 by the Bruck Castle Museum, the Kitzbühel Town Museum and the Werner Berg Museum in Bleiburg.
