STÖCKLI THE SWISS SKI - WINTER 2011/12

TECHNOLOGY A GOLDEN SEASON FOR STÖCKLI Once again Stöckli‘s successful past season attracted mega attention. The small Stöckli team not only brought forth a world champion in giant slalom but also a double junior world champion and a world champion in ski cross. After winning four silver medals at the Olympic Games and world championships, Tina Maze was finally relieved of the „forever second“ title conveyed to her by the press. Her victory in the giant slalom at the WC 2011 not only released tears of joy with the Slovenian skier, but also brought Stöckli its first alpine world championship title. The strategy of supporting especially young skiers finally paid off as not only one but several international Stöckli juniors celebrated success last season. The Slovenian Bostjan Kline became double world junior champion at the World Junior Championships in Crans-Montana. In the women‘s team the young Swiss talent, Andrea Thürler, won the silver medal in the super combination. Right from the start Stöckli also saw potential in the young ski cross discipline. After two Olympic victories in Vancouver in 2010, the Swiss outfitter secured the world champion title with its Canadian shooting star, Chris Del Bosco, who won various World Cup victories as well as a silver medal in the legendary Winter X Games. Smooth and precise turns are the result of this TORSIOTECH construction. SOFTFLEX SoftFLEX models are designed lighter and more flexible for optimal load transfer. They provide comfortable and yet dynamic skiing pleasure – a feature especially appreciated by women skiers. POLYAMIDE INSERT TECHNOLOGY (P.I.T) Soft, elastic polyamide inserts are placed into recesses provided in the Titanal surface. In addition to weight reduction, this feature changes torsional behavior, depending on whether the skier puts weight on the left or right ski (Stormrider PRO). 3AX The sidewalls of the newest Stormrider Models 95 and 110 are built with a three-component glassfiber-reinforced synthetic to make them more robust, shock-resistant and nondamageable. This exclusive ski revolution from Stöckli turns freeriding into an unforgettable experience! ROCKER These skis are marked by a curved shovel tip, a feature that reduces the ski‘s running surface and thus improves its lift in powder snow. The ski feels shorter and thus becomes more maneuverable. On the piste the shortened running surface makes it easier for the skier to get a good edge grip.
