www.psi-network.de PSI Journal 5/2016 »We see no serious problems and also no need for action.« ARNE SCHUBERT, ALLBRANDED We follow the reports on China’s economic development in the media: Foreign trade is shrinking and at the same time domestic demand has increased. Interestingly, China is gaining in importance as a sales market for international corporations and is, for example, one of the largest markets for Apple. We feel virtually no impact: Apart from the price increase as a result of the dollar devaluations, the prices have been very stable and comparable over the years. There have also been no changes in terms of production and delivery reliability. However, our benchmarks are limited to the last three years. Currently, we see no serious problems and also no need for action. »The current situation has very little effect on our business.« ALBERT VAN DER VEEN, XINDAO Compared to the doubledigit growth in recent years, the current growth rate of roughly 7 per cent is slightly worse. However Europeans can only dream of such a growth rate. The current situation has very little effect on our business. I can see only two factors that affect the prices: On the one hand are the relatively large wage increases in the course of economic growth. Secondly, the RMB has weakened against the dollar due to lower than expected economic growth. This is partially offset by the wage increases. There is little need for action at the moment. Production is stable, as is delivery reliability. Currently the manufacturers should have more capacity as they are producing less for export and for the domestic market. 19
