SUCCESSFUL IPSA SPRING 2016 From 15 to 17 March 2016 the 29th main exhibition of the promotional industry IPSA Spring was held in Crocus Expo, Moscow, Russia. This spring exactly 100 exhibitors were united under one roof in Crocus Expo showcasing their creative novelties and solutions to corporate buyers, advertising agencies, advertising & producing companies, distributors and retailers. 48 first time exhibitors were represented by following countries: Russia, China, India, Sweden and USA. During three days IPSA hosted 3749 unique visitors. Among those have been advertising agencies and advertising and producing companies (31 per cent), corporate buyers (25 per cent) as well as retail chains and shops (8 per cent). On the whole, there have been 27 per cent more visitors compared to spring 2015. For the first time the exhibitors took part in the special new area “Novelties Gallery” where they were representing their novelties (all 37 showpieces), and all the STAY AHEAD WITH PSI PSI Journal 5/2016 www.psi-network.de visitors had an opportunity to vote for the favorite product. Besides traditional promo goods and gifts the most representable IPSA areas were promo textile (11 companies) and distributors & suppliers of equipment and expendables (7 companies). On 16 March in the framework of the exhibition the practical professional conference was conducted by IPSA and its partners: Russian Association of Communication Agencies (RACA) and online promo portal Suvenir.Segment. Here the leading experts of promotional industry outlined the main trends of the promo market. The jubilee 30th IPSA Autumn will take place on 6 to 8 September 2016, again at Crocus Expo, Moscow. www.ipsa.ru/en/ < An extensive range of seminars is part of the spectrum of services PSI is offering to its members. A key concern in this context is to enable members and market participants to obtain an advantage in terms of knowledge and stay well ahead in daily competition. For this reason, all-day practical courses have been initiated. The “Added Value of the Promotional Product” seminar focuses on the product itself and is primarily concerned with marketing promotional products. The exciting subjects range from successful briefing with customers up to cross-media use of promotional products, as well as how promotional products can boost advertising. The “Promotional Products in the Marketing Mix” seminar deals with the so-called promotional product SWOT, that is, strength, weakness, opportunity, threats. The route from traditional marketing to marketing with promotional products will be discussed, as well as successful briefing with customers. This seminar also more closely examines factors of success and advertising effectiveness. Both seminars will teach theory and practice, with an opportunity to put what has been learned into practice in group exercises on the next day. The instructors are Michael Mätzener and Robert Scheidegger. The seminars are aimed at anyone who would like to deepen their knowledge and update their skills.
