The company’s large-format laser cutter SP3000 was recently awarded the iF Design Award 2016 in the category “Product” at the BMW Welt in Munich. The SP3000 is the largest laser cutter within a series of laser cutting machines for the industrial processing of acrylic, wood or textiles. Through the independent and open design of the V-shaped body, the machining area of 2.2 by 3.2 metres is easily accessible on all four sides. “Customer benefits are a top priority in our product development. A well-conceived design makes a decisive contribution: Faster operation or increased ergonomics creates more efficient workflows and thus profitability for our customers. We are very pleased that we have now won the iF Award,” said Trotec managing director Dr. Andreas Penz. iF International Forum Design GmbH is based in Hanover and has distinguished designers with the iF Design Award since 1954. REMADAYS WARSAW INSPIRON WINS TWO MEDALS Inspiron, the Bremen-based supplier and importer of promotional products, won two competition prizes during the printing and promotional products trade show Rema- Days Warsaw. The PromotionTops Catalogue 2016 was awarded gold as “Catalogue of the Year” for the third time in a row. The publication convinced through its content and design. Under the motto “Shop the Tops”, the catalogue invites readers to a shopping spree through the diverse and colourful range on 532 pages. The “Flavoured” thermo mug from Inspirion took out third place of the “Gifts of the Year 2016” award in the category TopDesign. The double-walled thermo mug scored through optics, quality and durability.
