THE NIAGARA FALLS by Anna Zsófia 8A Last summer I visited my relatives in Canada. One day we decided to go to Niagara Falls. When we got there I was very exited because I had been there 12 years earlier. As I was a baby then I couldn’t remember it at all. Sadly it rained and tons of tourists were there. My uncle couldn’t park his car so my aunt and I got out of the car and ran to the waterfall. It was extremely beautiful in the rain. I could smell the water and it was an indescribable feeling. Unfortunately, we had no time left and we had to go. When we ran to the car I looked back and wished to see that miracle place once again in my life! JOKES by Sára Szöke and Enikö Lestyán 8A & Sophi Hanson 7A A guy burned both of his ears... so they were asking him at the hospital how it happened. He said, `I was ironing my clothing and the phone rang... So, instead of the phone I picked up the iron and burned my ear...` `But how the heck did you burn the other ear?` The doctor asked. `They called back.` Did you know? A: Aren’t you wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger? B: Yes I am, I married the wrong woman. ... that the amount of water going over the falls could fill up 50 Olympic sized swimming pools (110-170 thousand m3) in one minute? ...that more than 3 million tourists visit it each year? ... that Marilyn Monroe stayed at the Brock Plaza Niagara Falls which is now called the Crowne Plaza Hotel during her filming of the movie “Niagara” in 1953? ... that the falls have moved 7 miles? ... that Niagara Falls is known as the Honeymoon capital of the World?
