An almost unlimited number of leisure options provide true variety. URSPRÜNGE Der Name Kärnten (Karantanien) stammt aus dem Kel tischen. Karantanien war ein im 7. Jhd. n. Ch. entstandenes slawisches Fürstentum. Schon Kelten und Römer wussten die Vielfalt der Landschaften, die Thermen und die Orte mystischer Kräfte zu schätzen. Geprägt durch drei erlei Einflüsse – slawische, germanische und romanische – ist Kärnten ein Land mit einzigartigen Wurzeln. ORIGINS The name Carinthia (Carantania) comes from the Celtic. Carantania was a Slavic principality that emerged in the 7 th century AD. The Celts and Romans already valued the variety of landscapes, spas and places with mystical power. Characterised by the influences of three cultures – Slavic, Germanic and Roman – Carinthia is a region with unique roots.
